Technology Development
The Hothouse
A number of the
ideas and research disclosures made to Waikatolink are in early
stages of development. In order to attract buyers and investors,
and transfer the technology to the marketplace, sometimes
significant further technology development is required.
The Hothouse is Waikatolinks Technology Development Unit. It is an ongoing unique environment which enables students to undertake prototype development or evaluation of technologies arising out of university research. It makes the knowledge and skills of the University’s brightest students available to research and industry under the guidance and supervision of the Hothouse technology development managers and the commercialisation team.
